Splash of Color

West Texas is such a unique and beautiful place.  Before I finished my West Texas Photography course, I wanted to do a project that really showcased that.  This is the work that I came up with.  While some people and other photographers do not like this style, I tend to like it.  I agree that it is not a technique for every project, but on occasion it can really be powerful.
By using spot color I feel like I have made certain elements really stand out.  Take a look at a colored West Texas through a black and white world.

Texas is red, white, and blue.  In west Texas, this structure stands tall of that reminder.

Red tulips are planted every spring on the Texas Tech campus.

The color on a black and white cow.  Located near Lake Allen Henry, this cow serves as a reminder that there is color in everything!
